In our approach to self-development, we can work passively (e.g. on self-acceptance), or actively (e.g. on self-assertion or self-promotion).
Feeling good enough
Assessing self and others is natural. But when self-assessment turns too negative, we can be our own worst enemy. For true wellbeing, we need to find a balance of self-acceptance and self-accountability.
Sometimes we need to listen to ourselves, and empathise with the ‘little voices’, the suffering parts of ourselves that want to be heard, and perhaps to grow into something wonderful.
